Fashion, sports materials, merchandise, tools to repair home, fabric, lightning bulbs, lamps, and all that jazz, electronics, garments, household goods, furniture, hardware, and all the other fashion stuff. Huh! So I have heard all the various tall claims about this place being so comprehensive, ubiquitous, and one-stop-for-all the things that you need. Yeah? So I have heard, but eventually, I got down to exploring this mart with my own two eyes and coming to a decision
Verdict: All hail the dragon because it is the coolest and the complete-est place to visit for getting all your stuff within the four walls of a single place on the planet.
You see, the thing about Dubai is that it is a place where shopping is of a world-renowned level, and there is a plethora of malls to visit. And the other thing about Dubai, something akin to a rule of law or thumb, whichever you prefer, is that there is a vast variety here.
If you are in the mood to shop in an opulent, extravagant, and lavish place, where you get entertainments, an enormous tennis court sized food court, art galleries, and all the other amazing stuff then you can hit the Mall of Emirates or Dubai Mall.
If you are in the mood to haggle and get your hands on all the precious treasures that are popular shopping items when coming to Dubai such as spices, perfumes, rugs, and all, then you can hit the souqs in Dubai.
A semi between these two options is none other than the Souq Madinat Al Jumeirah, which will equally make you go oh-la-la. However, under no circumstances feel that your options of shopping are closed there. Nope, because there is another brilliantly bonzer place to visit yet that seals the shopping deal for ya’ll. And it’s a beauty, period.
The Dragon Mart is a place to go when you are not high on your budget because it offers extremely reasonable prices that will give you a good quality and a good quantity. So, whenever your mind wonders, quality+quantity, know that quality+quantity= Dragon Mart.
There are several times in the month when you feel like you are really not up for spending lots of dirhams, the time of the month when your salary is running dry, or you enter into that phase called ‘miserly myself.’ There is nothing to despair about though because your knight in shining armor in such a case is known as the Dragon Mart.
So now you are wondering what happened there that impressed me to a whole new level of infinite. Let me tell you, as you have heard, “the first impression is the last impression.” Once you will reach the mart, a mighty dragon all curled up over a golden globe will welcome you, you’d be surprised to see the creativity outlining this water fountain and guess what, I don’t even need to say this but it’s obvious that you can click selfies over here and even fool people by putting up a status that says you went to China.
Then comes the interior of the mall and it is literally wicked and in the proper sense, aspect, and meaning of the word. The roof is slightly domed with glass constructs through which the sunlight seeps in. Again, epic spot for a picture. Next, the hanging red dragon lamps and these will make you feel the very meaning of unique.
But the place is not all selfies and pictures; there is an entire market that this mart possesses with all the budget friendly prices that are going to make your head dizzy will all the excitement of quantity and quality.
Tired of shopping and need a temporary break? Ah, the Dragon Mart has got your back and has you covered with a range of numerous restaurants. Some of the prominent names include Barbeque Delights, The Mahal Restaurant, Broccoli Pizza and Pasta, Old Wood Village, Chilli’s. Maraheb, Mir Amin, Automatic, Tim Hortons, Olives and Tomatoes, and a lot of many others. McDonalds and Pizza Hut also await to satiate your hunger.
So, you see there is a myriad of food outlets to choose from, depending on your mood to have something Lebanese, Turkish, Arabic, Italian or simply whatever.
Oh, and there is also a grocery store, so you see there is nothing on your list that will not be available in the Dragon Mart. So here is a hats off to the all-comprehensive mart that has different sections for all the things and materials you might be looking for with a price range evenly spread on the large scale of pocket-friendly to a bit pricey. But really, this is a place to visit and not miss at all. You get to have both the selfies and goods. As for me, I already have both so for now hasta la vista habibis.
